George MacDonald, Chair of Central Fife ClubSport visited Glenrothes Strollers Football Club and Sports Complex for ‘the celebration of the life of a legend, Joe McCafferty’ this weekend.

Over 80 football teams took part with 6 Para Football Teams, girls and boys teams from age groups starting at U5s up to and including Over 35s adults.

George handed over a contribution of £500 from Central Fife ClubSport to Sarah Brown, Operations Manager. In receiving the contribution, Sarah said: “this is our inaugural celebration of the ‘Life and passion of Football for All’ in memory of Joe. This contribution will allow us to look forward to this event continuing next year, and in the years to come”.

Joe was a very popular winner of the Central Fife ClubSport (formerly Kirkcaldy and Central Fife Sports Council) Service to Sport Award in 2013.
